Spring is in the Air!!

Who could not love springtime?? The warm fresh air, birds singing in the trees, robins hopping in the yard, children running wild and free, windows flung open, spring flower bulbs showig their buds, freshly washed laundry flopping in the breeze and the list could go on.....

Ohh the wonderful joys of springtime!!

This week we got some of our garden planted and it was wonderful working in the freshly turned soil! This year I'll be planting: corn, peas, greenbeans, potatoes, onions, cutting lettuce, spinach, tomatoes, peppers, pickles, neck pumpkin and watermelons. I am so excited about having a big garden this year! Last year we kept it smaller due to me expecting our little girl; who was born the end of August - Amber JoLynn, so hard to believe she's almost 7 months already!! Where does time go??!!

I am so ready to get on the lawn mower and mow grass! I LOVE summertime and being outside. I am trying to decide what I want to plant in my flowerbeds this year - that is something I really look forward to! I did put a few pansies in my window boxes to cheer up the front porch!

 Springtime brings new birth and I am anxiously awaiting to hear from a friend who is expecting any day now,  she asked me to take her baby announcement pictures and design some cards. I think it'll be fun to take pics of a new baby!!

Well I am going to go and enjoy our 70+ degree weather and maybe I'll even cut out some "springy" looking dresses for myself and the girls!!

Where does time go????

Where does time go?
Am I ready for this?
Am I old enough to be starting this phase of my life?
Are we making the right decision?


These are the Questions running through my head tonight.
        Today we went to visit the school that we'll most likely be sending our children to. I can't believe the years have flown by so fast that we'll have a first grader in the fall. It seems like yesterday that we had our 1st child - a girl named Jessica Rose. Where does time go? Before I know it, fall will be here and will I be ready to let go of my "baby"? I am sure when the time comes God will give me the grace and courage to watch her get on the bus for her 1st day of school!!


     Well this week has been a busy week of doing normal household duties, with the extra work of preparing for family night. It is our month to host family night here with James family. We will be celebrating James and his Dad's birthday's which are this month. With our small house it gets kind of loud but the children love playing with their cousins!


     I have a busy couple of days coming up with cleaning and food preparing; so I better get at it or it'll be a hectic weekend!
  

A New Year is Upon Us

            New Years Eve we had our Christmas Day at my in-laws. We arrived there at 10:00am and stayed till 9:45pm - it was a long day.
           New Years Day we spent the day at home catching up on much needed sleep! After making a big breakfast at 11:00am :) my hubby helped me transfer my pictures and programs to my new laptop. I then decided to start designing sample baby announcement cards for a friend of mine! She is expecting a new little one in March and she asked me to take her newborn's pictures! In the evening we played some games with the girls and then went to bed.
         Today I am washing diapers and other clothes. I am hoping to organize the girls dresser drawers, I need to take out their short-sleeve shirts, so they don't get mixed in with their long-sleeved ones. Jessica is going to be doing her schoolwork for Kindergarten. She is getting behind and it's time to catch up!
        Well it's time to get a move on if I am going to get everything done today I want to!

My New Year's Resolutions:
Exercise Daily
Keep a record of food eaten each day
Get up earlier in the morning
Go to bed on time
Have more patience with the children
Spend time with the children reading to them and teaching them about Jesus!
